Syria 963 Umayyad Mosque T-Shirt featuring a printed design of Syria's "963" calling code beside the minaret and dome of the Great Umayyad Mosque of Damascus, with three stars above. The code also appears in Arabic-Indic numerals, ٩٦٣.

Completed in 715 CE, the Umayyad Mosque of Damascus is one of the oldest and largest mosques in the world, raised on a site held sacred for three thousand years — a temple to the Aramaean god Hadad, then to Roman Jupiter, then a church, before it became a mosque. It still holds a shrine said to contain the head of the Prophet Yahya ﷺ (John the Baptist), and tradition names its southeastern minaret as the place where the Prophet Isa ﷺ (Jesus) will descend.

Few buildings carry the layered history of Damascus — the oldest continuously
inhabited capital on earth — so completely.

963 is the international calling code for Syria: the three digits that connect every Syrian back home, wherever in the world they are. Rendered in the green, white, and black of the Syrian flag and marked with its three red stars, it carries the resilience and pride of Syria across generations.
